30th April - International Jazz Day - Alaa Aljrarwa/Jordan

International Jazz Day is an International Day declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2011 "to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe."It is celebrated annually on April 30.The idea came from jazz pianist and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock. Jazz Day is chaired by Hancock and the UNESCO Director-General. The celebration is recognized on the calendars of both UNESCO and the United Nations. Jordan Team created a Poster, some videos to introduce the day and an interactive game to check our knowledge of Jazz music as the celebration activities. 29th April - International Dance Day - Alexandra Bega/Romania

In 1982 the Dance Committee of ITI founded International Dance Day to be celebrated every year on the 29th April, the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), creator of modern ballet. The intention of the International Dance Day Message is to celebrate dance, revel in the universality of this art form, cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers, and bring people together with a common language - dance. Romanian Team created Posters to celebrate International Dance Day on 29th April. They also shared a survey to see how much we know about dance. Here is the link: International Dance Day Quiz

The Meeting of all Teams in The Salad Bowl Project - Naziye Kaşka/Turkey

We held a project meeting with all the Project Teams! The eTwinners introduced themselves and shared their expectations of the Project. We talked about the activities already done and the upcoming events. The students were informed on e-safety issues and Web 2.0 tools. They expressed their feelings in their own languages,too. It was a joyful evening thanks to all participants!
