THE SALAD BOWL - eTwinning Project

  The global theme of World Cities Day 2021 is “Adapting cities for climate resilience”, acknowledging that integrated climate actions will greatly reduce climate related risks for urban populations. The Project Teams of The Salad Bowl Project have discussed some of the problems most cities are facing these days and teenagers from Turkey, Romania, Lithuania and Jordan tried to find solutions to these problems. Today is the World Cities Day and The Salad Bowl Teams are celebrating this day with the theme ‘Better Cities, Better Life’.   The aim of this day is to promote the international community's interest in global urbanization, enhance cooperation among countries and cities in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization, and contribute to sustainable urban development. Globally, we are facing the negative effects of the climate change in the recent years and we are urged to take action in ‘Adapting cities for climate resilience’. SAUSAL Project Team has created a poster to arouse awareness towards this issue and celebrate the day: Happy World Cities Day!
