  SAUSAL has successfully finished with The Salad Bowl Project! News on School Website To celebrate this, we wrote a news article with the students and school administration on our school website to inform the local community about the process and results of the project in general. As SAUSAL Project Team we are so proud to take part in this wonderful project!

Traditional Art, which are an element of folk culture, play a role in the survival and preservation of cultural values, provide information about the lives, beliefs and economic opportunities of societies, and have original, authentic and local characteristics. As The Salad Bowl eTwinning Project, we are glad to mediate the promotion of our traditional arts.  Turkey has many traditional forms of art continued to be produced since ancient times.  The Turkish Teams of AOSB/İzmir and SAUSAL/Alanya worked together to present our artworks in two videos.   The global theme of World Cities Day 2021 is “Adapting cities for climate resilience”, acknowledging that integrated climate actions will greatly reduce climate related risks for urban populations. The Project Teams of The Salad Bowl Project have discussed some of the problems most cities are facing these days and teenagers from Turkey, Romania, Lithuania and Jordan tried to find solutions to these problems. World Food Day is celebrated every year worldwide on 16th October to arouse awareness towards hunger and food security. As The Salad Bowl eTwinning project team, we celebrated this day with the theme: "Our Actions are our Future: Better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life." To celebrate the day, the project teams worked collaboratively and created a video, posters of their traditional dishes, an online game and a survey on eating habits. We created a video to call for worldwide awareness and collective action to combat the issue of hunger and ensure healthy diets for all.   The students of The Salad Bowl Project Team of AOSB Special Education School took Certificates of Participation today for their contribution. Congratulations!!  

Students and teachers of SAUSAL/Alanya and AOSB/İzmir worked collaboratively to create a video about Turkey, based on the general facts and culture of the country. The students wrote explanations about certain aspects of the country and found short videos related to the themes and their teachers gave continuous feedback in this process. They merged their video contents by the help of their teachers and here is the result! Introduction of Turkey

Youth and Sports Day is an annual Turkish national holiday celebrated on May 19 to commemorate Mustafa Kemal's landing at Samsun in 1919, which is regarded as the first step towards the independence of the Republic of Turkey.  Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ,the founder of Turkish Republic, gifted this day to the youth. As there are two teams from Turkey in The Salad Bowl Project Team, AOSB Project Team from İzmir wanted to celebrate the day and inform the other teams about the day. They created a poster and a video to inform the other teams about the day. Youth and Sports Day Video  

  The Salad Bowl - eTwinning Project Team has conducted a survey to assess the impact of Pandemic on students/teachers from all over the world. We have created an E-book from the results of the survey. You can read it from the link below: The Impact of Pandemic on Us

The Salad Bowl Project teams asked the teenagers from different countries how they felt themselves during the Pandemic and they shared their emotions behind a mask.
