  Today is the International Day of Education!   Education is a human right, a public good and a public responsibility.  The Salad Bowl Project Teams are celebrating the day under the theme: “Changing Course, Transforming Education".  Happy Int.   The Salad Bowl Project Teams met online to celebrate the Human Rights Day yesterday! We watched a video about global human rights, shared our opinions on some basic human rights and tried to find solutions to discrimination. Then we played a live Kahoot game on the folk dances of the partnering countries. It was an informative and fun evening! This is the game about our folk dances we played on Kahoot. Human Rights Day Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10th December to raise awareness towards the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being. The Salad Bowl Project Teams are celebrating it with the Theme: "Equality - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights". SAUSAL Project Team has celebrated the day creating a motion poster with the quote of Atatürk, the founder of Turkey and we also celebrated the day at school preparing placards about basic human rights.   "Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world's cultures." P.B.S Project Team has created a poster to celebrate the day and we do a cloud of the Word “tolerance” on WordArt. We also watched a film about the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

  TOLERATE, EMBRACE, EDUCATE! Today is the International Day of Tolerance, which was started by the UN, with the goal of getting educational institutions and the general public to see tolerance as a staple of the society. SAUSAL Project Team has created a poster to celebrate the day and written their understanding of the Word “tolerance” on WordArt. We also watched a documentary film about the life of Mahatma Gandhi, whose values of peace, non-violence and equality contributed to mutual understanding among cultures and people.

  Happy World Cities Day! Even small cities and towns, such as Pakruojis in Lithuania, do their best if we want to live in the cleaner, greener and safer environment in the future. Let`s start from the small things that we can do every day for the better future in the cities and also in the whole world

Youth and Sports Day is an annual Turkish national holiday celebrated on May 19 to commemorate Mustafa Kemal's landing at Samsun in 1919, which is regarded as the first step towards the independence of the Republic of Turkey.  Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ,the founder of Turkish Republic, gifted this day to the youth. As there are two teams from Turkey in The Salad Bowl Project Team, AOSB Project Team from İzmir wanted to celebrate the day and inform the other teams about the day. They created a poster and a video to inform the other teams about the day. Youth and Sports Day Video  

 The International Day of Living Together in Peace is held on 16th May every year since 2018. The Day aims to uphold the desire to live and act together, united in differences and diversity, in order to build a sustainable world of peace, solidarity and harmony. One of the most important aims of The Salad Bowl Project is to make students realize the ethnic diversity of the World and develop a multicultural unity. So PBS Project Team from Lithuania created a poster about the day and a quiz about the day to inform other teams. Living Together in Peace Quiz

The International Day of Families is observed on 15 May every year and reflects the importance the international community attaches to families. The International Day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families. The 2021 observance of the International Day of Families focuses on the impacts of new technologies on the well-being of families which became vital in the Covid-19 Pandemic.
