THE SALAD BOWL - eTwinning Project

  The project team of P.B.S / Madaba performed the Turkish Folk dance. It was much fun! PBS Folk Dance Performance

  The Salad Bowl Project Teams tried to perform the folk dances of partnering countries. SAUSAL Folk Dance Performance SAUSAL Project Team chose to perform Lithuanian folk dance 'Gransveras'. Although it seemed challenging at first, the students managed to dance very well in the end! They liked the music and the choreography a lot! We had much fun during the rehearsals! The project team of CNGL, Sibiu, Romania, performed the Turkish folk dance ‘Damat Halayı’ . We enjoyed this activity a lot and we discovered that there are many similarities between Romanian and Turkish folk dances. CNGL Folk Dance Performance

Traditional dance is a part of Lithuanian traditional folk music. It rexlects the identity of our nation, expresses feelings and emotions, performs and shows customs and the most important moments of humans life. Lithuanian Folk dance

The Jordanian Dabkeh is a Jordanian folk dance and the national dance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The dancers line up in either a row, an arc, or a circle. The dancers are either male or female. The dance is led by the first dancer, who generally determines the direction of the dance, and usually performs additional movements to demonstrate his skill. Dabkeh consists of foot movements. It is an important part of the Jordanian heritage and folklore, and is practiced at weddings and national events. SAUSAL Team from Alanya and AOSB Team from İzmir worked collaboratively to create a video of Turkish folk dances. Bridging two continents, Europe and Asia, Turkey has been the home to civilizations with settled villages and city life for nine thousand years. It's rich cultural heritage is dramatized by folk dancing. Folk dances have different characteristics based on region and location. Students and teachers of SAUSAL/Alanya and AOSB/İzmir worked collaboratively to create a video about Turkey, based on the general facts and culture of the country. The students wrote explanations about certain aspects of the country and found short videos related to the themes and their teachers gave continuous feedback in this process. They merged their video contents by the help of their teachers and here is the result! Introduction of Turkey
