19th May Youth and Sports Day Celebration - Seher Akkaş/İzmir - Turkey
Youth and Sports Day is an annual Turkish national holiday celebrated on May 19 to commemorate Mustafa Kemal's landing at Samsun in 1919, which is regarded as the first step towards the independence of the Republic of Turkey. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ,the founder of Turkish Republic, gifted this day to the youth. As there are two teams from Turkey in The Salad Bowl Project Team, AOSB Project Team from İzmir wanted to celebrate the day and inform the other teams about the day.
