International Human Rights Day commemorates the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948. Human Rights Day Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10th December to raise awareness towards the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being. The Salad Bowl Project Teams are celebrating it with the Theme: "Equality - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights". SAUSAL Project Team has celebrated the day creating a motion poster with the quote of Atatürk, the founder of Turkey and we also celebrated the day at school preparing placards about basic human rights.   TOLERATE, EMBRACE, EDUCATE! Today is the International Day of Tolerance, which was started by the UN, with the goal of getting educational institutions and the general public to see tolerance as a staple of the society. SAUSAL Project Team has created a poster to celebrate the day and written their understanding of the Word “tolerance” on WordArt. We also watched a documentary film about the life of Mahatma Gandhi, whose values of peace, non-violence and equality contributed to mutual understanding among cultures and people.
