We celebrated the World Food Day! - Naziye Kaşka/Turkey

World Food Day is celebrated every year worldwide on 16th October to arouse awareness towards hunger and food security. As The Salad Bowl eTwinning project team, we celebrated this day with the theme: "Our Actions are our Future: Better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life."

To celebrate the day, the project teams worked collaboratively and created a video, posters of their traditional dishes, an online game and a survey on eating habits.

We created a video to call for worldwide awareness and collective action to combat the issue of hunger and ensure healthy diets for all.

We created a survey that will help everyone understand the importance of healthy eating habits.

The teams have created questions about their traditional dishes and they were put in an online quiz. Then we played it all together on the World Food Day and enjoyed a lot! At the end of the game students gained more insight into the food and drinks of the partnering countries and they were eager to try them at home:
